Keeping in view the current pandemic in the country as well as in the state, the Odisha government today took too big steps to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has officially announced that the state would go into complete lockdown till 30th of April and has requested the Centre not to resume train and air services till the last of this month.
The Odisha government has further decided to close all Educational institutions in the state till June 17th, becoming the first ever state to make such big announcement.
Many other state governments are likely to follow the same lockdown measures in coming days as the 21 day lockdown announced by PM Modi is believed to be insufficient to curb the corona menace in the country.
