At least nine boys ,who had apparently gone to Zabarwan Hills for trekking were rescued in a night long operation by the team of wildlife department.
The boys hailed from Nissar area of Srinagar and had apparently lost the track of way back home.
Altaf Hussain, Wildlife Warden Central Division Srinagar, told GNS that he received a call from Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar at around 8.30 p.m. regarding some boys having gone into Zabarwan hills without heading back home.
“I quickly constituted a team to see options of rescuing them. Finally our team was able to track them down and demonstrated great courage during the while rescue operation” Hussain said, adding, “It took them eight hours to locate these boys at 5 a.m. in the morning.
